Lexonn: Prodir is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2025. What key values have guided the company’s journey to this milestone?
Marco Campana: Prodir started with a commitment to producing high-quality writing instruments that combine functionality with thoughtful design.
The brand quickly distinguished itself in the promotional products sector through its focus on precision, design, and sustainable production values, ultimately positioning itself as a premium manufacturer in the industry.
We actually feel like the journey just started.
Lexonn: How do you choose materials and processes that align with the company’s commitment regarding the environment protection standards?
What are the challenges you meet with the Swiss production regulations?
Marco Campana: R&D is the most important department in our company. Here is where ideas took a concrete shape and are developed. Swiss regulations are strict as you can imagine and Prodir’s CSR initiatives focus on sustainability, including sourcing responsibly, reducing carbon emissions, and upholding ethical labor standards.
The company powers its operations almost entirely with renewable energy from Swiss hydroelectric plants and has implemented a closed-loop recycling system for production waste.
Moreover, Prodir since the beginning promotes refillable pens to decrease waste.
Lexonn: How do you keep the creative process fresh while ensuring products meet high-quality standards?
Marco Campana: We have a strong and long-term partnership with a design studio which is like to be part of the family. They know our company process; they share same values and are aware about our clients’ expectations. They work side by side with our marketing team which is high demanding.
The rule is pretty simple, we do not have to release a brand-new pen every year just because we have to. We simply do it only if we find solutions that can increase value for our clients.
The pen is the business card of a company, it has to reflect the value of our clients. That is why any new pen must meet Prodir standard but most important being able to tell a story.
Lexonn: What inspires your marketing campaigns and how do you connect with your audience?
Marco Campana: As said our pens tell stories and we have a lot of nice examples. Prodir has collaborated with numerous renowned brands, providing them with highly customized writing instruments.
One memorable collaboration was with a global luxury brand that required custom-made pens reflecting both premium quality and eco-consciousness, highlighting Prodir’s ability to tailor products to a brand’s specific ethos and standards.

Lexonn: How has your partnership with Lexonn helped highlight the shared values of design, durability, and innovation?
How do you see our partnership evolve in the near future?
Marco Campana: Lexonn has been a Prodir Partner since the beginning of my personal journey in the company, started in 2011.
It has been easy as, at the beginning with Iulia and then with the rest of the team, I have always been aligned with values and the spirit that characterize Lexonn.
We have been able to make our brand known in the country thanks to mutual campaign and I am sure we will be on the same side in the coming years, where the aims are to reduce the environmental footprint, enhance the use of sustainable materials, and maintain the position as a trusted partner for eco-friendly and quality promotional items.
