Promotional self-care and wellness products are among the most sought-after items this year. They encourage companies and brands to promote health and well-being both at home and at work, along with productive habits. We can name promotional self-care products for mind and body candles, utensils dedicated to personal hygiene, compact mirrors, sleeping masks, massage tools and many others.
Self-care: what does it mean?
The term self-care is used a lot these days, but what does it really mean? Although its popularity in the common language could be considered recent, this term is not a new concept.
A 2010 study published in the JBI Library of Systematic Reviews defined this term as “the set of activities in which a person is involved throughout life on a daily basis”, focusing on the promotion of health, the prevention of diseases and the management of problems that arise. When people talk about self-care, they generally refer to the deliberate choice to do something about their well-being, both from a mental, physical and spiritual point of view.
As the concept of self-care becomes familiar, many brands appear with various pop-up concepts that include self-care products, kits or giveaways to offer their customers and employees the help they need.
Why is this concept important?
Kelsey Patel, a Los Angeles health expert and author of “Burning Bright: Rituals, Reiki & Self-Care to Heal Burnout, Anxiety and Stress “, claims that self-care contributes to how we can all better cope with daily stressors.
Several organizations concerned about health consider that self-care or the concept of self-care and giving a period of time in this direction relieves daily pressures and helps to improve productivity. Self-care doesn’t have to involve a huge time commitment or unexpected costs and has countless benefits.
July 24th – International Self-Care Day
Here is an opportunity to bring this concept to attention. You can celebrate this day by offering employees objects personalized with the company brand. Choose these items from among those that can bring a state of physical, mental and spiritual well-being to your colleagues. Don’t limit yourself to one day. Use every opportunity to give small gifts to build their well-being.
Choosing promotional self-care products
The choice of objects to be personalized with your brand is primarily related to their recipients. The event at which you will offer them is also important. Make sure that the objects you choose correspond to your own marketing and communication policies and that they reflect the sustainable course of your brand. As much as possible, choose objects made of natural, recycled, certified materials with a low environmental footprint.
