What does UV digital print mean?

UV digital printing is a form of digital printing in which ultraviolet light is used to treat and dry the ink. Printing can be done on very different materials: plastic, wood, metal, paper, glass, stone, leather.

A UV LED printer is used for personalization: in the first phase, the ink is applied to the material according to the digital model and then it dries immediately under the action of UV lamps.

The advantages of using UV digital printing

The drying of the inks is almost instantaneous and therefore the results are spectacular, the colors are much more intense and the risk of dissipation or mixing is almost zero.
Like any digital printing, the method that uses UV LED allows printing on large surfaces, unlike other classic methods such as pad printing.

The quality of the polychrome print is high, with very good resolution.

Due to the reduced printing time, it is a very practical method for short deadlines.

The choice of customizing some promotional products through UV digital printing is also useful in protecting the environment. The other printing methods use different solvents in the ink, which dries after their evaporation. With UV digital printing there are no solvent vapors, the ultra-fast drying is achieved based on the exposure of the print to ultraviolet light.

UV digital printing can be used on various materials, some even unusual, with very good results.

The durability of such UV digital printing is high, it resists very well over time, including in humid conditions.

There is also a disadvantage, but surpassed by the photographic quality of the digital transposition: the UV digital print uses only CMYK, not PMS (the Pantone Matching Colors system).

SPOT UV digital printing for premium designs

Digital printing called Spot UV uses the same principle of treating ink with UV light, but highlights only certain areas of the surface. It provides texture and shine to the areas established in the digital model, keeping the initial characteristics for the rest of the material. The contrast between the surfaces of the object thus printed increases its value.

It is a method whose result is multisensory, facilitating the appreciation of the design of the printed object.
